Overview
Our team has decades of experience helping clients navigate complex state and federal solid and hazardous waste permitting, compliance and enforcement matters. We routinely represent owners and operators of large municipal solid waste landfills, industrial waste management units, coal combustion residual units, construction and demolition debris facilities, and storm debris and yard trash management and recycling facilities. We also help clients evaluate new and innovative recycling opportunities to minimize waste generation, including the recycling and reuse of hazardous wastes, and the redevelopment of existing and closed landfills.
We also lobby for clients before executive branch – the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) among others – and the Florida Legislature. This experience provides us a deep understanding of emerging regulatory initiatives and trends, and allows us to develop creative legislative and regulatory solutions to complex problems.
