MIAMI, FL — Stearns Weaver Miller announced that Shareholders Lindsay A. Gunia (Coral Gables | Marital & Family Law) and Sabrina Weiss Robinson (Miami | Ad Valorem Disputes and Exemptions) were selected as 2025 Florida Trend‘s Legal Elite NOTABLE – Women Leaders in Law. The list recognizes Florida-based women attorneys who demonstrate leadership in professional and community organizations, mentor other attorneys and promote professional practices and values in the workplace, and have made a measurable impact in the types of cases handled, clients represented and/or pro bono work.

Lindsay A. Gunia has practiced marital and family law exclusively for over 15 years. She specializes in handling complex cases for high-net-worth individuals and business owners. Her experience includes the preparation of intricate prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, paternity issues, and dissolutions of marriage dealing with equitable distribution, business valuations, alimony, child support, and parental responsibility and timesharing.

Lindsay is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and is trained in Collaborative Family Law. She is also a member of the Executive Council of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. Throughout her career, Lindsay has served on various committees and held numerous positions within the state and local bar associations. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Equitable Distribution Committee and Vice-Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee, and previously co-chaired the Publications Committee and Rules and Forms Committee. In recognition of her dedication and service, Lindsay was honored with the Florida Bar Family Law Section’s 2023 Above and Beyond Award.

For years, Lindsay and her team have dedicated time, effort, and resources to complex pro bono family law cases. Dade Legal Aid’s Put Something Back Pro Bono Project honored the firm’s Marital & Family Law Department with its 2025 Law Firm Pro Bono Award.

Lindsay has also participated as a speaker and authored multiple articles as well as continuing legal education and webinar materials on a variety of family law matters.

In 2025, Lindsay was recognized as one of only 17 individuals ranked in Chambers Family/Matrimonial: High Net Worth in Florida by Chambers & Partners, a prestigious global legal ranking organization. She has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® since 2023 and Florida Super Lawyers® since 2024.

Sabrina Weiss Robinson chairs the firm’s Ad Valorem Disputes and Exemptions department. She has 36 years of commercial litigation experience, including 22 years focused exclusively on challenging property tax assessments.

Sabrina helps owners, tenants, managers, lenders and developers throughout Florida reduce their tax liability through administrative appeals before Value Adjustment Boards and in Circuit Court. She has extensive experience in valuation appeals for various types of property, including retail centers, big box retailers, anchor department stores, car dealerships, office properties, hospitality, industrial, apartments, assisted/independent living facilities, vacant land and tangible personal property.

Under Sabrina’s leadership, the Ad Valorem Disputes and Exemptions group continues to grow and achieve substantial reductions in tax liability for clients.  In 2024 alone, her group reduced market values by over $882 million and saved clients over $10.9 million in tax liability. Sabrina has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® since 2023.

Sabrina frequently presents to various accounting firms, real estate brokerages, and other organizations regarding valuations and property values.

Sabrina is a Former member of the United Jewish Communities (UJA) National Women’s Cabinet and Woman’s Philanthropy Board of Directors for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. She is also the Past Area Chair for the Miami Beach Chapter.

Within the firm, Sabrina plays a central role in shaping its culture. In the years following the pandemic, Sabrina has been instrumental in planning various events to strengthen relationships between attorneys and encourage cross-departmental and cross-office collaboration. She has been particularly critical in fostering bonds for women attorneys, coordinating dinners, pickleball tournaments, concerts, and other teambuilding experiences.
