Three Attorneys Elected to Tallahassee Women Lawyers Board of Directors
TALLAHASSEE, FL — Stearns Weaver Miller announced that three Tallahassee attorneys have been elected to serve leadership positions on the Tallahassee Women Lawyers (TWL) Board of Directors. Felicia Kitzmiller will serve as President, Elizabeth Desloge Ellis was elected Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) Monitoring Chair and Fatou Calixte was elected Meetings Coordinator.
Felicia has been on the TWL Board of Directors in various roles since 2018 and Liz since 2016. Fatou has been a member of TWL since 2023 and is serving her first term on the Board. As board members, these women will continue to lead the organization in its mission of creating, improving, and maintaining supportive networks between women in the legal profession. The firm is a long-standing supporter of TWL, with nearly every woman attorney in its Tallahassee office involved and many serving in past leadership roles.
Felicia Kitzmiller practices at the intersection of environmental, land use, and real estate law on projects ranging from single-family docks and agricultural easements to mines, marinas, and energy facilities. Her clients are individuals and large corporations. In addition to TWL, Felicia is an active member of The Florida Bar Environmental & Land Use Law Section (“ELULS”). She has served on the Executive Council and as Co-Editor of The Reporter, the Section’s newsletter.
Liz Ellis is a litigator who represents private and public sector clients in complex real estate development, land use and property rights matters. Liz also maintains a broad litigation practice where she represents clients on a variety of matters, including public records, and constitutional law. She is President-Elect of the Tallahassee Bar Association (“TBA”), President of the Refuge House of the Big Bend and on the Board of Directors for the Goodwood Museum and Gardens.
Fatou Calixte represents clients in complex commercial litigation, including land use and property rights as well as administrative law matters. Prior to her legal career, Fatou worked for several years in various financial services roles.
