TALLAHASSEE, FL – Stearns Weaver Miller announced that Emily Pepin Bouza has joined the Firm’s Tallahassee office.

Emily is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in City, County, and Local Government Law. Prior to joining the firm, she had nearly 15 years’ experience in local government, with an emphasis in land use and eminent domain litigation. She served as an Assistant County Attorney in the Leon County Attorney’s Office as the lead land use and zoning attorney advising the Planning Department, Development Services Division, Environmental Services Division, and Public Works on various issues regarding land development in Leon County. Emily also served as the Assistant County Attorney in the Collier County Attorney’s Office where she was the lead eminent domain litigation attorney.

“Emily’s experience with both the Leon County Attorney’s Office and the Collier County Attorney’s Office has given her insight into the operations and procedures of the governmental entities that influence land development, zoning, and environmental matters across Florida. She is a valuable addition to our statewide team,” said Group Chair Reggie Bouthillier.

Emily earned her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law. She earned her Bachelor’s from the University of Florida.
