Overview
Julia Anne Osmolia handles complex bankruptcy reorganizations as well as related litigation matters in both federal and state courts. Prior to joining the firm, Julia spent several years as the lead Civil Litigation and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy attorney at a boutique South Florida firm where she gained experience conducting comprehensive legal research, drafting motions and pleadings, negotiating settlements, and preparing for trials.
Notable Experience
- Reported Decision: In re Withington, 654 B.R. 173 (Bankr. S.D. Fla. 2023) – Obtained a final judgment against a national bank for the bank’s willful stay violations.
- Obtained a fully favorable decision waiving an overpayment for a client who disputed the overpayment for over a decade prior to my representation; lead all conferences and hearings, drafted
- Motion to dismiss in a fraud action, defeating plaintiff’s efforts to pierce the corporate veil.
