 Are You Ready for the Changes to the FMLA and the ADA?

Major Changes to the FMLA and ADA take effect January 16, 2009

This program will discuss the U.S. Department of Labor's new FMLA regulations that take effect January 16, 2009. The changes made are detailed and complex (200 pages of commentary, regulations and forms). Do you know how the new regulations differ from the previous regulations? We will share this information and explain areas of potential confusion between the “new” and the “old.”   We will provide posters and forms that all covered employers should be using.

We will also discuss recent congressional amendments to the ADA and why employers really need to understand what “reasonable accommodations” means now. Our focus will be on the practical application of these new amendments to day-to-day situations.
